Indian Oil Corporation largest terminal dedicated to the nation


Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL)’s Rs 140 crore fully automated Jharsuguda Oil Terminal, the largest in the region, has been dedicated to the nation, local media have reported. Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated the terminal and a refurbished oil depot at Jatni.

He said: “These new facilities will further strengthen storage and distribution of petroleum products in the states of Odisha, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh.”

The Paradip refinery and the Jatni and Jharsuguda Oil Terminals will be linked via the Paradip-Raipur-Ranchi Pipeline and will assist with faster movement of oil I the region.

The new Jharsuguda terminals will help ring uninterrupted, automated delivery of fuel to the districts of West Odisha Bargarh, Bolangir, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Kalahandi, Sundergarh, Sambalpur, Sonepur and Nuapada.

The Jharsuguda Oil Terminal has a capacity of 49,000 Kilo Litre with 2200 KL per day of Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene to cater more than 350 sale points.

The renovated Jatani Oil depot will cater for 13 districts of Odisha: Angul, Boudh, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Khordha, Nayagarh, Puri, Phulbani, Rayagada, Malkangiri and Kalahandi.
