LNG centre planned for Estonia


A Russian energy company, LNG Gorskaya Overseas, has signed a letter of intent with the Estonian Port of Pärnu to establish an LNG centre in its harbour. 

The LNG centre will consist of newbuilding LNG floating storage with a maximum capacity of 5,500 m3, a bunkering vessel with a volume of tanks of 1,300 m3, a specialised pier and other port equipment necessary for storage, bunkering of vessels, gas station for tracks and use of LNG in the municipal purposes. The commissioning of the centre is planned for December 2018.

The Port of Pärnu is the fifth Baltic port to have signed the agreement with LNG Gorskaya Overseas to build LNG bunkering infrastructure.  It joins the ports of Riga, Mõntu Port, Port of Lübeck, and the Liepaja Oil terminal.
