Mott MacDonald acquires Wideurope Engineering


Mott MacDonald has acquired engineering and design consultancy Wideurope Engineering. The move enhances Mott MacDonald’s offering, services and capability in the energy sector and provides access to new markets.

Established in 2002, Wideurope Engineering employs more than 50 people across its offices in Dubai and Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates and Genoa, Italy. The company operates primarily in the energy sector providing expert technical support and professional services in civil, structural and electro-mechanical design. Wideurope’s portfolio features power and desalination plants in the Gulf Cooperation Council and south west Asia, combined cycle power plants in Italy and North Africa and a range of projects in South America and south east Asia.
