Nearly 30 companies bid for LNG Croatia project


Nearly 30 bids have been received for the development of a floating terminal and other facilities at the LNG Import Terminal on the Island of Krk in Croatia.

Tank News International reported in September that a tender was being opened and so far, 27 bids have been received. Of the bids 13 are for the FSRU and 14 cover the docking station and accompanying facilities.

A representative of LNG Croatia said: “The interest has been great. In the prequalification process, 13 companies have demonstrated interest to participate in the delivery of a FSRU, while 14 companies are interested in the design and construction of other facilities.”

The company expects to make a decision on the chosen suppliers by the beginning of next year with operations at the facility due to start by the end of 2019.
