New President of the European Oil Refining Association


The members of the European Oil Refining Association have unanimously approved the appointment of Béla Kelemen as President of the Association for the next two years.

The Brussels-based association represents the interests of most refining companies in the EU and contributes to the development of EU policies in this area.

Béla’s chairmanship will last for the next two years. He is currently the Vice President of MOL Group’s Business Excellence Centre and is responsible for improving processes throughout the company’s asset portfolio. He has extensive experience in the refining industry, gained through his time at MOL Group and other companies.

FuelsEurope (formerly known as EUROPIA), a division of the European Oil Refining Association, represents within the EU institutions, the interests of 40 companies operating refineries in the European Union, including companies like Shell, ExxonMobil, Total, OMV and PKN Orlen.

Béla said: “I am honored with this appointment and will strive to represent this industry in the best way in dealing with all stakeholders and to support our Secretariat in Brussels.”
