New terminal from Petrolog to be served by BNSF

American PetroLog has completed construction of a rail terminal which has the capacity to transload and store bulk liquid, dry bulk and carload commodities. The terminal will be served by BNFS.

The company purchased the asset from B&E Grain in January this year and has developed the eight-acre site to service their Dallas Ft Worth customers.

American Petrolog President, Jeff Colonna said: “We made a strategic decision to open a transload and storage terminal in Venus, TX because we regognize that north Texas is a rapidly growing market for both consumption and manufacturing. In many cases railroads provide the most economical and reliable means of freight transportation, so our services are needed to support this growth.

“We’ve been fortunate to have already signed several loading slot and tank storage placement contracts and we are in the process of finaizling positions for a couple more customers.”
