Tank News International team at ILTA
The Tank News International team was out in force at the 37th annual ILTA event last week and couldn’t have been any happier with the reception they, and the publication received.
International Sales Director, Greg Emmenis said: “The whole team was blown away with the fantastic response to the Summer edition of Tank News International. We really can’t thank our partners, both advertisers and editorial submitters, enough for their support over the past two years as we have worked to grow Tank News International.”
The ILTA International Operating Conference and Trade Show was held at the Marriott Marquis Houston and the George R Brown Convention Centre and yet again proved itself to be one of the best shows in the industry.
The conference portion of the event was held on Monday, June 12th and the morning of Tuesday, June 13th. A Packed programme of sessions – 34 in total – covered a wide range of subjects from Marine Terminal Operators Safety and Tank Design Strategies to The Emerging use of Drones at Terminals and the Importance of Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders.
The ILTA team booked two fascinating keynote speakers, Alex Epstein is a staunch supporter of fossil fuels and Chris Morgan is a wildlife ecologist.
The Trade Show portion of the event kicked off on the Tuesday afternoon straight after the Conference and saw 4,000 visitors get the chance to visit in excess of 350 exhibitors as well as the Technology Learning Centre which provided exhibitors the opportunity to present their products to visitors, and the Trade Show Symposium which saw speakers focus on facility safety and fire protection. The symposium was hosted by our own Marketing & Content Director, Emma Ardley-Batt.
Following Tuesday’s Trade Show the ILTA team hosted the Hawaiian-themed Trade Show Reception, complete with colourful leis, at the Lazy River at the Marriott Marquis Houston
“The quality of visitors and exhibitors at the event was amazing,” Greg added. “People attend ILTA because they really want to do business. They are looking to build strategic partnerships and they want to learn about product launches and enhancements. For a publication, we really couldn’t be among better company.”
