Two new contracts for Vertex
Vertex Railcar, a manufacturer based in Wilmington, North Carolina, has received an order from Trinity Chemical for 350 coiled and insulated DOT-117 tank cars for use in the crude oil and chemical markets.
Vertex is due to deliver 50 cars from its plant by January 31st, 2018, with the remainder to be delivered within two years from then.
According to media statements, this order is the second for Vertex’s in the past two months. The other being for 100 DOT-117 ethanol tank cars, a contract thought to be worth approximately $11m, which will be built and delivered from the Wilmington plant later this year.
