Vervaeke takes Dutch transport group Van der Lee on


Vervaeke, a Belgian transporter of chemical and petroleum products, has acquired the Netherlands-based Van der Lee. With sales of more than €50m, 400 employees and six offices, Van der Lee is a leading logistics provider within the dangerous goods industry.

For Vervaeke, the acquisition expands its scope and offerings. Together the two firms have a turnover of €110m, a fleet of 700 tractors, more than 1,000 semi-trailers and a team of 900 employees.

Vervaeke now has a network of 12 sites located throughout the main chemical cluster in Europe (Ruhr – Antwerp – Rotterdam).
