Zenith scraps plans to build at Port of Antwerp

Zenith Energy is reported to have scrapped its plans to build a storage terminal at the Port of Antwerp’s Churchill Dock.

The company, which has terminals in The Netherlands, Ireland and Colombia and has recently acquired Arc Logistics, announced the projected €250m investment last year, which was initially going to be based at the Delwaide Dock, but eventually landed at the Churchill Dock.

A spokesperson for the U.S-based company said: “We evaluated a possible opportunity in Antwerp, but for a number of reasons this project will not be pursued any further.”

Zenith Energy aims to develop itself into a world-class midstream asset operator by buying and building terminals in the Atlantic Basin, primarily Europe, Africa and Latin America which include the storage and logistics for crude oil, refined products, petrochemicals and all types of dry-bulk commodities.
