Cheniere and Trafigura sign 15-year LNG sale and purchase agreement


Cheniere Energy’s Cheniere Marketing has signed an LNG sale and purchase agreement with Trafigura, under which Trafigura has agreed to purchase approximately 1 million tonnes per annum of LNG from Cheniere Marketing on a free on board basis for a term of 15 years beginning in 2019.

Cheniere Energy’s President and CEO, Jack Fusco said: “We are pleased to announce this long-term SPA with Trafigura, an important player in the global LNG market. Cheniere Energy, Inc., a Houston-based energy company primarily engaged in LNG-related businesses, owns and operates the Sabine Pass LNG terminal in Louisiana.
