Construction starts on Jiaxing LNG terminal, to ‘greatly improve capacity’

Jiaxing LNG storage and transportation terminal will be made up of two newly-built LNG berths – one 30,000 ton-class berth and one 5,000 ton-class berth, with an annual design capacity of 1m tons and 150,000 tons respectively.

The project, which is in Zhejiang province has reported that construction has started at the Dushan port area. It is reportedly expected to be completed in ten months’ time. 

In September 2019, Jiaxing Gas Group and Zhejiang Seaport Group signed a cooperation agreement to jointly develop Jiaxing LNG terminal project, which will greatly improve LNG supply capacity in Zhejiang and Yangtze river delta upon delivery.
