Conversion of Avonmouth site from LNG to LPG, begins for TGE as groundwork underway

Formerly owned by National Grid, the Avonmouth facility in Bristol is being converted from an LNG plant to an LPG storage facility by TGE as part of a major investment by Flogas Britain.

It said: “After signing the contract last summer we are happy to finally have started groundwork at site in December while construction is scheduled to begin in March 2021.”

It added: “The full plant takeover is planned for summer 2022. Part of the existing facilities will be used for storage, with the new loading/unloading facility to be supplied, installed, and commissioned by TGE.”
