Crowley increases flexibility with new Caucedo port call

Crowley Logistics has “added flexibility and greater convenience” for customers utilising its supply chain solutions in the Dominican Republic by initiating weekly vessel and logistics services at the Port of Caucedo.

The new port call complements Crowley’s existing services at the Dominican Republic ports of Rio Haina and Puerto Plata. “It seamlessly links shippers, manufacturers and consumers in the US mainland, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and the US Virgin Islands,” it said in a statement.

By adding Caucedo to the company’s full-scale supply chain management services in the Dominican Republic, it said customers will benefit from the newest and most modern, multimodal Caucedo logistics centre – the first with a private, cargo-only port at the epicentre of the Americas Region.

Nelly Yunta, Vice President of Crowley’s Dominican Republic services, said: “Caucedo is a very convenient and efficient option for importers and exporters who are looking for speed to market and cost-effective operations.”
