CXIC attends Intermodal Asia 2018


Led by Chairman Mr. Pan Chuanrong, the delegation of CXIC Group participated in the latest Intermodal Asia 2018. The CXIC team had positive and close communication with senior decision-makers and representatives of leading suppliers in the fields of global containers, transportation and logistics, and carried out further and wider business cooperation.

The Intermodal Asia 2018 took place in Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center from March 20 to March 22, 2018. The three-day event was jointly held by Informa Exhibition Group, China Container Industry Association (CCIA) and the Integrated Transport Federation of China Communication and Transportation Association (CCTA-ITF).

It brought together people from all trades to listen to opinions of industry experts and explore the latest development trends in container industry, including cargo owners, 3PL, shippers, shipping companies, freight forwarders, non-vessel operating carriers, container lessors, container dealers, container manufacturers, suppliers for accessories, experts in container refit and customisation, harbour bureau or technology providers, logistics companies, railway companies, participants of “the Belt and Road”, banks or private equity firms.

In collaboration with Global Smart Container Association (GSCA), the Intermodal Asia 2018, supported by China Container Industry Association (CCIA), held a 2-day Smart Shipping Forum to discuss about advanced technologies which can improve the profitability of global container supply chain. Topics included: automation, digitisation, blockchain technology, Internet of Things, big data in tracking and rise of smart containers.

The exhibition also opened up One Belt One Road Forum and Environmental Protection Forum for discussion topics including the significance of the Belt and Road Initiative for international trade, effective intermodal transport integration with ports, connectivity of regions, potential of bulk cargo railway transportation through the Belt and Road Initiative, container truck transportation along silk road, production situation and operation experiences in the first year of transition to waterborne paint, whether plant plans to further improve the paint lines or not and so on.

When Ms. Gao Min, Overseas Marketing Director of CXIC Group made a speech about Environment Protection: Transition to Waterborne Paint. A large audience was attracted, which made good promotion for the efforts of container manufacturing industry to improve coating technologies and fulfil environmental responsibilities in practice.
