Expo PetroTrans 2018 to open its doors
Europe’s meeting place for fuel logistics, PetroTrans 2018 is opening its gates for the eighth time to allow around 100 providers to provide information about the latest developments and solutions. On September 20-22, Messe Kassel, Germany, will become an innovation platform for logistics, transportation and handling in the fuel industry.
The big players are giving an overview of the state of the art on 12,500 sqm of exhibition space. Here, companies from Germany, Belgium, Finland, France, Greece, the UK, Italy, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, South Africa, Spain, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Turkey, the Czech Republic and USA are not only bringing important areas of fuel logistics together, but they are also showing the enormous depth of their offers. The exhibition in the fair halls and presentation in the outdoor area comprise motor vehicles, chasses, superstructures, trailers, transport vessels and containers, systems engineering, loading systems and technology, warehouse turnover, transport logistics, diagnostics, repair, maintenance and fuel supply, services, the chemical industry, protective clothing, environmental protection, technical literature, filling stations and logistics systems as well as software.
Practical live demonstrations
For the first time, the event will host open workshops that will teach the right conduct in the event of accidents involving hazardous materials. There will be an interactive demonstration of what to do in an emergency given in cooperation with the Swiss HAZMAT School, a training and advanced training facility for firemen and security forces. It deals with the use of the ADR set, binding agents and their properties, proper emergency equipment and the correct approach. The workshops, which are each around 15 to 20 minutes long, are directed at drivers and vehicle owners, but are open to all visitors without prior registration in hall 5.
Discussions and product demonstrations
In the Open Forum in hall 1/2, the expo PetroTrans is offering a new platform for innovations and discussions for the first time this year. Established exhibitors as well as newcomers to the industry will present their product news in short live sessions.
Purposefully discover the highlights
Guided tours with different thematic focusses lead directly to the relevant exhibitors and exhibits. Depending on specific interests, two guided tours of the trade fair are offered to visitors once a day free of charge after prior registration: the innovation tour to providers of new technological developments and the software tour to specialists in digital solutions.
Safeguarding the future included
Training, acquiring and retaining specialists is essential to a company’s future. A lack of specialists is a problem that is to be taken seriously. The Federal Employment Agency (BfA) will be present with a booth at the expo PetroTrans for the first time to advise fair visitors in personnel issues and show ways out of the threatening crisis.
Last but not least: The battle for the best
Always awarded on the third day of the trade fair is the expo PetroTrans Innovation Award for the best product innovation or new development. Exhibitors make a bid for the coveted award; however it is a 50-50 decision based on a vote by fair visitors as well as an independent jury of three industry experts.
