Foster Fuels wins FEMA contract

Foster Fuels has been awarded a five-year, $475.8 million contract from the Defense Logistics Agency to deliver different kinds of fuel to the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

DLA’s energy organisation received nine responses for the fixed-price, economic-price-adjustment contract via a competitive procurement, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

The Brookneal, Va.-based fuel products supplier will perform work across all 50 states, Guam, American Samoa, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, with a May 31, 2024, performance completion date.

Purchases under the contract will be funded with defense working capital funds for fiscal 2019 through fiscal 2025.
