HOYER expands intermediate bulk container fleet to 50,000

HOYER Group has more than doubled its IBC fleet in five years to 50,000, which the transport and logistics service provider said is due to “a high level of demand for intermediate bulk containers (IBCs).”

HOYER’s range of IBCs have a capacity of between 500 and 1,110 litres, and are used in particular by the food, chemical and cosmetics industries in China, Europe and the US.

Talking of the increased demand, the German company highlighted in particular that the stainless-steel containers are used for demanding products in the food, chemical and cosmetic industries.

According to the company, heatable IBCs for the food industry, cylindrical containers for the paint and coatings industry and mini pressure tanks (MPTs) for special chemicals are very much in demand.

Stephanie Muhs, Director of IBC Logistics at the HOYER Group, said: “The requirements of IBCs in terms of their features are growing. We meet these not only with the right equipment, but also with comprehensive services which ensure the quality and safety of the product as well as efficient planning and delivery.”

She added that the fleet enables the company to respond “flexibly” to its customers’ needs.
