Intermodal Europe postponed until 2021

Informa Markets has made the decision to postpone Intermodal Europe until 2021, after consultation with key industry stakeholders.

Rob Fisher, Group Director, Intermodal Events, said: “In recent weeks and months, we have been evaluating the viability of this year’s event. From a health and safety standpoint, we felt confident in our ability to deliver a safe and secure show.”

He added: “However, Intermodal Europe is an international networking event that facilitates meetings between suppliers and buyers from across the globe. International business travel has yet to fully recommence and we know that visitors from some locations will struggle to attend the event this year. Ultimately, this would have compromised the overall experience that we aspire to deliver for our exhibitors and partners. This has led us to take the difficult decision to postpone Intermodal Europe 2020.”

The next edition of Intermodal Europe will take place at The RAI Convention Centre in Amsterdam, in the autumn 2021. The exact dates have yet to be confirmed but it will be in November.

To replace this year’s physical event, it will be launching a digital initiative which will include industry updates and briefings as well as virtual meetings.

All bookings and visitor pre-registrations will be automatically transferred to the new dates, and its aim is to facilitate a seamless transition for all parties.
