Life onboard a floating LNG facility

Shell has produced a short film set on its Prelude FLNG, situated 475 kilometres north east of Broome, Western Australia.

It prepares natural gas for export by turning it into liquid, which makes it easier to transport to customers overseas. It will produce 3.6 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) of LNG, 1.3 Mtpa of condensate and 0.4 Mtpa of LPG.

Prelude FLNG recently reached a significant milestone, with the first shipment of LNG having sailed from the facility. This shipment was delivered by the Valencia Knutsen to customers in Asia.
