New CEO for Imperial Logistics South Africa

Imperial Logistics has announced Edwin Hewitt has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer for its South Africa division and will succeed Nico van der Westhuizen from March 1, 2020. 

“Edwin has an exceptional reputation for translating strategy into operational excellence and for simplifying organisational complexity,” it said in a statement. “He has led companies such as DAWN and Capital Africa Steel in his capacity as chief executive officer, and also served as the chief restructuring officer of PPC and group executive director of Murray & Roberts.”

Hewitt holds a Master’s Diploma in Technology (Metallurgical Engineering) and has successfully concluded an international executive management programme at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a management development programme at the University of Pretoria.
