New ISO 9001:2015 certificate for Van den Bosch

New ISO 9001:2015 certificate for Van den Bosch

Van den Bosch Transporten has achieved the new ISO 9001: 2015 certification. This international standard, which imposes requirements on the quality management system of an organisation, replaces the ISO 9001 standard from 2008.

The emphasis in the new ISO 9001: 2015 certification is on stakeholder management and risk management. “The starting point is that the quality management system is a strategic tool for an organisation,” explains Ronald van der Vleuten. As a SHEQ Manager he was intensively involved in achieving the new ISO certification.

In the new ISO 9001: 2015 certification, more attention is paid to leadership, the role of management and thinking in terms of risks and opportunities compared to the 2008 standard. “That requires a broader view of risk management and a clear translation into concrete and measurable objectives. Not only organisation-wide, but also at the level of specific roles and processes, “ said Ronald.

Achieving the new ISO 9001: 2015 certification went hand in hand with the start of the company’s ‘Process Excellence’ scheme. “The processes that have been mapped in the context of Process Excellence have made an important contribution to the new quality management system”, continued Ronald. “Achieving the new ISO certification proves that our quality management system is ready for the future and is the catalyst for further process optimisation and continuous improvement.”
