OVK and Slavneft-YANOS sign an agreement for the supply of tanks for molten sulphur

PJSC United Wagon Company Research and Production Corporation, the largest producer of freight cars in Russia 1, and PJSC Slavneft-YANOS, one of the largest Russian oil refineries (part of the Slavneft Oil and Gas Company), have signed an agreement for the supply of a batch of tanks on a 25 tc trolley for transporting molten sulphur. Shipment is scheduled before the end of October 2020.

Tank car model 15-6913 is designed for the transportation of molten sulphur and other chemical goods. The tank boiler model 15-6913 is made of stainless steel, resistant to aggressive loads. The design of the boiler uses thermal insulation, which has a double casing forming an air gap for guaranteed uniform heating of the cargo carried by hot air.

Air heating in the air gap is carried out by tubular electric heaters (heating elements) located under the boiler. On the tank frame, sections of heating elements, a control panel, power sockets and a fuse panel are mounted. The degree of heating of the cargo is controlled by a temperature sensor located on the boiler of the tank.

PJSC NPK OVK has been cooperating with PJSC Slavneft-YANOS since 2017. Previously, the refinery supplied batches of tank cars of Tikhvin production for transportation of technical sulphuric acid and molten sulphur with a total volume of 39 units.
