SA Fire Protection recognised for export trade
As a member of the National Association for Security and Fire Prevention Companies (UMAN) and the National Federation of Associations for the Mechanical Industry (ANIMA), SA Fire Protection was invited to attend the annual Smart Export for the 2018 edition in Milan, Italy. The Smart Export events are centred around internationalisation within the mechanical sector attended by a select group approximately 100 individuals.
This year, ANIMA and the Italian Trade Commission (ICE) organised special sessions dedicated to new technologies, best practices and future opportunities to enable attendees to increase and speed up foreign trade. In the first part of the day, representatives from organisations in the industry, Italian institutions and governmental agencies highlighted ways to optimise the global value chain based on field experience and business development models. In support of the topics covered in the first part of the day, the second part took the form of a round table discussion with delegate from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, ITA/ ICE Agency, Edison Foundation, International Network of Customs Universities (INCU), PwC and other notable organisations.
Central to the day’s activities was an award ceremony paying homage to the accomplishments of Italian manufacturers who attributed more than 50% of their annual turnover to exported goods. One of the winners of this award was SA Fire Protection which design firefighting systems and manufacture firefighting equipment for hazardous environments. SA Fire has been active in the field of fire science, fire engineering and fire protection technology for over 35 years serving the oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation and offshore market internationally.
