Savvy Telematic Systems wins Innovation Award

Savvy Telematic Systems AG has been awarded the IVS Innovation Prize by the Schaffhauser Platzbanken. Innovations from companies at the interface of industry and digitization were honoured with first, second and third places. These companies represent the high degree of innovation of the businesses located in Schaffhausen, Switzerland.

Every two years, the Schaffhausen IVS Chamber of Commerce awards prizes to the best of Schaffhausen companies. A jury of political and business representatives selected the three winners from a total of eleven finalists.

The winner of the Innovative Telemetry SME award was Savvy Telematic Systems AG. Its product for automatic flat spot detection is used in rail traffic. Already today, thousands of freight cars are equipped with telemetry devices from Savvy, which transmit position data or information about the load. Thanks to a new algorithm, the devices now also know whether the wheel sets have flat spots. This allows the wagons to be serviced again.

The second and third places were taken by innovations in the field of digitisation and technology. Georg Fischer Piping Systems AG impressed the jury with a welding seam tester. This device scans the seams and transmits the data to a tablet, for example. Star AG, developed a user-centered work assistant that transfers documentation and instructions to the digital world. Thanks to a highly developed AI, only the required content is made available, at the same time, precisely tailored to the skills, experience and knowledge of the user.

The IVS Innovation Award of the Schaffhausen Platzbanken once again showed the innovative environment in the Schaffhausen region and the winners represent the innovative strength of the regional and international companies located in Schaffhausen – especially in the technology sector at the interface between industry and digitisation.
