Suttons announces new Yorkshire Water bio-resources transportation partnership

Suttons Tankers said it is “proud” to have started a partnership with Yorkshire Water for the transportation of bio-resources.

It said: “Over the ten year contract, Suttons are committed to providing Yorkshire Water with excellent service levels, so we are substantially investing in replacing a large proportion of the current fleet.”

As part of the replacement programme, 14 rigid vehicles and nine tractor units are being replaced, which will provide an improvement in operational performance due to increased utilisation, decreased downtime, and decreased cost of asset maintenance.

It added: “Volvo are our manufacturer of choice for unit and chassis, with Crossland providing the Vac tanks for the rigid vehicles. New vehicles will be received into fleet in 2021.”
