Suttons announces the dates for its annual Safety Drive 2018

Logistics and transport services company, Suttons, has announced its annual Safety Drive will take place between October 1-12. Suttons depots across the globe will be participating in the annual Safety Drive

“Safety First is a core value that all employees hold close at Suttons on a daily basis,” the company said in a statement.

The Safety Drive is a short burst of focused activity on safety related topics. This year the company has invited its customers to participate in a diverse range of activities from emergency response simulation exercises, delivery point inspections and driver ride-alongs.

“We hope the Safety Drive will give all participants an insight and better understanding of the safety issues our drivers encounter on a daily basis; whilst also teaching safe behaviours which can be implemented in their own lives on the road, at home or at work,” said Suttons.

The events follow on from the relaunch of the company’s 6 Safety Principles back in June, “which we feel are the key fundamentals to consider when operating safely in our working environment.”

Looking to the future we will be introducing a new Winter Ready scheme. After last year’s severe winter we would like to go into the next one with clear plan and standards in place for operating in adverse weather conditions. This will be launched during our Safety Drive event.
