Suttons ‘excels’ in implementation of its Azelis contract

Suttons said: “The Suttons Widnes Workshop team recently excelled in the implementation of the Azelis contract by completing crucial repairs and maintenance to a large number of vehicles in a very short timeframe.”

Chrisi Lloyd Roberts, business improvement director for Suttons Tankers, praised the team for their hard work and determination in a pressured environment to ensure a smooth ‘go-live’.

Before a new contract is implemented, all tanks undergo a rigorous inspection to ensure they are clean, in top condition, and safe on the roads.

Suttons said: “This is our commitment to upholding our earned recognition status from the DVSA, which was awarded for our continuous approach to high standards of compliance, safety and excellence across our UK depot workshop network.”

Suttons’ Widnes workshop received the tanks on the Wednesday before the contract go-live date, and so only had five days to complete the inspections, maintenance, and repairs necessary to the 10 tanks.

The workshop team worked closely with the operations department to plan in advance a schedule that would give them enough time to complete the tank maintenance inspection while continuing with their regular workload.

The team worked around the clock and into the weekend to ensure that all 10 of the tanks were inspected and received maintenance in such a short time frame ready for the Monday morning.

Chrisi Lloyd Roberts said: “Our engineering and workshop staff are highly skilled and a valued asset to our organisation.

“The Azelis tanks were required on a very tight timescales so the guys had the turn them around quickly, whilst making sure they met our high standards for road safety. They did a tremendous in a pressured environment.”
