Tankcontainerfinder wins NT Port Startup Award

Tankcontainerfinder.com wins NT Port Startup Award

Tankcontainerfinder.com has won the first edition of the NT Port Startup Award at the NT Port Event in Spijkenisse, The Netherlands.

Four nominees made a video pitch presented to conference participants, who then cast their vote. tankcontainerfinder.com received 40% of the votes, closely followed by Cargosnap with 34%, while LEF and OndaVia both received 13% of the vote.

tankcontainerfinder.com is now its its final development phase and has plans to launch its paid version in September. The platform brings together suppliers and users of tank containers.

The service works in three parts. Firstly, the user places a request or search query based on the product description, UN-number or T-code. They then enter required capacity, and whether it applies to equipment only or with transport. Next the user enters the location of departure and destination in a given period of pickup and delivery.

The second step sees the user’s query viewed by various tank container and transport suppliers. Once a supplier can meet the required needs, the user receives a notification email. The final step is the comparison of offers. The user can compare different prices and get in direct contact with the supplier of their choice – saving time and money and helping to find the right tank container in the right place at the right time.

The NT Port Statup Award was created by Nieuwsblad Transport to give innovations of startups in the port an extra stage. The objective is that these startups make a meaningful contribution to the business climate in the ports and offer concrete solutions to existing problems.
