Timofey Khryapov appointed CEO of United Wagon Company


Timofey Vladimirovich Khryapov has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Research and Production Corporation United Wagon Company (UWC) by decision of the Company’s Board of Directors.

As CEO Timofey Khryapov will continue work to make UWC attractive to investors and implement priorities of the company’s business strategy, with particular focus on manufacture of high-tech products, diversification of sales markets and increase of operating efficiency.

Prior to joining UWC, Timofey Khryapov served as Chairman of the Management Board and First Vice President at the ARETI International Group. He previously headed boards of directors at the following companies: VEB Invest, Novinsky Passage, Nakhodka Marine Trade Port, NBAMR (Nakhodka marine fisheries), Dnepropetrovsk Iron And Steel Works Named After Petrovsky, Dneprokoks, Bagleykoks, Sukha Balka Iron Mine, Pilsen Steel and Dallesprom. 

He has also served as Chief Executive Officer of VEB Capital and held senior management positions at Stroytransgaz, Russian Technologies and other companies. He worked in senior positions at the EVRAZ Group for more than 11 years, where he held the post of Vice President being responsible for business development and general management. Timofey Khryapov was born in 1970. He graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation.

Roman Savushkin, who was among the founders of UWC and headed the Company since 2012, will remain on the Company’s Board of Directors and will be responsible for strategic development of the Holding. Mr. Savushkin has received a commendation from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and was accorded the status of Honorary Railwayman in recognition of his contribution to the development of the industry and many years of diligent work as head of the railway Holding.
