Two-i wins smart camera innovation challenge for Port Of Zeebrugge X SPEED

In February 2021, SPEED and Port of Zeebrugge launched an open call for experts on smart camera detection and video analytics. Candidates were asked to send in their ideas to build the port’s new smart detection grid.

It received 20 strong and innovative submissions from several great teams, after which eight finalists were selected to virtually pitch their proposals in 10 minutes.

Port of Zeebrugge said: “After a careful analysis of the eight pitches, the jury selected Two-i due to their strong concept, demo and ease of implementation. Their concept also included an instant digital twin of the port area.

“Furthermore, the jury was impressed by their smart balancing of GDPR compliance with the flexibility to share alerts or run forensics through extensive anonymisation features, and the option of cooperating with other partners to make the port area more secure.”

It added: “We want to congratulate Two-i for their impressive submission! We also want to thank the jurors from Port of Zeebrugge, SPEED, Antwerp Management School, PortXL and & the Department of International Trade.”
