US Container Depot opens chemical tank wash in Newark

US Container Depot, in partnership with Extreme Tank Cleaning, has opened a commercial tank wash in Newark NJ to service the tank container and liquid bulk tank trailer community in the New Jersey area.

The company said the added capacity, with the high-pressure wash system to reduce cleaning time, should significantly improve the turn times for tank containers and tank trailers.

The tank wash facility has two tank wash bays and, in addition to standard washing protocol, will utilise a high-pressure pump to increase cleaning capabilities. The high-pressure cleaning system reduces time and waste water, the company claimed.

In addition, the facility has a three-bay shop for tank container prep and maintenance, and will be capable of storing approximately 300 empty tank containers in the yard.
