VTG announces expansion of its established offering with two new central hubs in Europe

VTG said that although its service is already established in ports such as Rotterdam and Gothenburg, VTG FastTrack is launching at two other central hubs in Europe. The service is now also available in the ports of Trieste and Venlo.

VTG FastTrack offers customers maximum flexibility. Thanks to 24/7 service, you can book additional transport capacities quickly and easily, even with short-term planning and order peaks.

“With VTG FastTrack we have established a pan-European premium offer that makes a valuable contribution to connecting the respective ports,” said Sven Wellbrock, chief operating officer Europe and chief safety officer of VTG AG.

He added: “The short-term and digitally supported provision of wagons creates capacities for transports that were previously mostly carried out by road.”

The Italian port of Trieste bundles short-sea continental traffic and maritime traffic and is a central transshipment point for numerous operators and shipowners. VTG FastTrack is initially starting with an exclusive cooperation with local partner Adriafer, the port’s own shunting company.

A complete set of 16 TWIN wagons (double pocket wagons) is now available on the premises there. These are suitable for the transport of semi-trailers, swap bodies and containers. An expansion and the opening of the offer for further customers and interested parties is already being planned.
